Families often wait months for docket space to finalize their adoptions, due to an overburdened court system. Today, courts and judges from all over the U.S. will be devoting the entire day to finalizing thousands of adoptions. If you'd like to take part, call your local court house and find out if they will be participating in the

   
National Adoption Day initiative, then stand outside and congratulate families as they leave with their families complete.
